Gardens of Goodness is Barb & Jim Lindemann's small, fruit and vegetable farm of just outside Madison, on the SW corner of McFarland. Our farm overlooks Lake Waubesa and our state capitol in the distance. We have enjoyed our neighbors, the scenery, and tranquility here for nearly twenty years. We have also worked hard to improve the health of our soil and trees.
Cardinals and Robins serve as our alarm clocks and the geese pass our way in the evening. We also have regular visits from deer, turkeys, and racoons. Occasionally a sand hill crane stops in the low area.
We specialize in fresh, picked vegetables, herbs, and fruit. Our fruit includes more than forty varieties of apples, cherries, peaches, and quince. Most of our apple varieties are old fashioned or "antique." They are rare and make the best cider.
